Every year there is a NEW musician creating waves in the music industry. Some of our favorite artists started off with only a YouTube channel and a dream. While others are constantly in the studio producing, writing, and singing. For the rest of the week, we are listing artists that are Rated Next, and in case you’ve never heard of them we are even telling you who they sound like. #RatedNext
To kick off Rated Next Week, we have chosen a Kimbra, the soultry voice that accompanies Gotye on his chart topping single, “Somebody That I used to Know”. Kimbra is an international singer, with an album dropping this year. We chose to compare her style and voice to another international songstress, Estelle. If you don’t remember Estelle, she had great singles featuring HipHop royalty such as Kanye West, and Rick Ross.
Gotye is a fairly NEW artist that has held the TOP spot of the Billboard 100 for the last few weeks with this HIT song, “Somebody That I used to Know” featuring Kimbra.
