Happy Birthday Lil’ Kim*
Before there was a Nicki Minaj or an Iggy Azalea, there was Lil’ Kim. She captivated us with raunchy lyrics and an aggressive flow that didn’t match her petite frame. As a part of Junior Mafia, she grew under the wings of Hip-Hop legend Notorious B.I.G, and came into her own as a force to be reckoned with. Lil’ Kim had no qualms about her lyrical content, and let us know exactly where she fit in the rap game. Luckily for my generation, we were able to experience all that Lil’ Kim was and still is to Hip-Hop.
